About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Robotic Process Automation (RPA) Lead Engineer to oversee the design, development, and delivery of enterprise automation solutions. In this leadership role, you will guide the RPA team in implementing scalable, secure, and efficient workflows using tools like UiPath, Automation Anywhere, or Blue Prism. You will collaborate with business stakeholders, analysts, and developers to identify automation opportunities, define standards, and drive end-to-end delivery across multiple departments. This role combines hands-on development with team leadership and strategic input on the automation roadmap.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the RPA development team in designing and delivering high-quality automation solutions
- Define RPA standards, best practices, and governance across projects
- Work closely with business units to assess and prioritise automation opportunities
- Architect end-to-end automation workflows and ensure alignment with enterprise architecture
- Review code, mentor developers, and manage workload planning within the RPA team
- Ensure security, compliance, and performance standards are met in all deployments
- Collaborate with DevOps and IT teams for bot deployment, monitoring, and lifecycle management
- Drive continuous improvement in RPA delivery processes and documentation
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 6+ years of overall IT experience, with at least 3 years in RPA development and delivery
- Proven experience with one or more leading RPA platforms (UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism)
- Strong understanding of process automation design, error handling, and performance optimization
- Proficiency in scripting (VBScript, Python, PowerShell) and integration using APIs or databases
- Experience managing RPA teams or leading multiple automation projects
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement skills
Nice to Have attributes
- Certified RPA Developer (UiPath, Automation Anywhere, or equivalent)
- Exposure to intelligent automation (OCR, ML, NLP)
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and DevOps pipelines
- Experience in Agile delivery and CI/CD practices
